This is my personal site to host projects that I am working on. I also upload small tutorials I write about PyGTK as I learn various topics.

DeVeDe for Windows

One of the more fun projects I am currently working on is DeVeDe for Windows. I have been working on it for a while. It is a simple patch of DeVeDe code to make sure it will work on Windows. You should give DeVeDe for Windows a try if you are looking for a video to DVD program.

PyGTK Tutorials

Things that are covered in the PyGTK tutorial at http://pygtk.org/pygtk2tutorial/index.html will not get much coverage here.

Remember these are just small tutorials so if I forget something I do not have to go through the reference again. I will be basing these off the reference, examples that come with pygtk and python-gnome, and assorted mailing list threads.

• Status Icon, how to use the status icon. February 10, 2008.
• File Choosers, using the PyGTK FileChooserDialog normally and the native Windows file chooser when using windows. Is a small, simple wrapper around both. Just enough to see how it works. February 22, 2008.
• gtkmozembed, how to use pygtk and gtkmozembed. This tutorial shows how easy it is to embed the mozilla engine inside a pygtk application. March 5, 2008.

Some other topics that I will likely touch on will include: webkit (once stable), custom widgets, gstreamer (for DeVeDe instead of mencoder), keyring, gconf, GnomeVFS and GVFS, d-bus, accessability(atk), treeview, clutter, and drag and drop.
